Group & School Safari Packages in Rwanda: NGO, Corporate & Student Trips

August 26, 2026

Not every Rwanda tour package is built around a couple or a small private group — a real share of the inquiries we get are from schools organizing a student trip, NGOs planning a staff retreat, international organizations coordinating a group outing, and companies looking for a team day out of the office. These groups have different needs from a typical private safari booking, which is why we built a dedicated set of Rwanda safari packages specifically for them.

The most affordable option is our coaster day trip to Akagera National Park, priced at $100 per person and built for groups of up to 30 — it covers round-trip transport, lunch, and drinking water, with the Akagera park entrance fee (a fixed $100 per person, set by the park itself) paid directly at the gate rather than bundled into our price. This is deliberately structured as an honest, transparent day-trip option rather than an all-inclusive safari — for large groups on a tight budget, that transparency matters more than a bundled price that hides what's actually optional.

For groups who want a more immersive two-park experience without needing 30 seats, our van-based package covers Nyungwe Forest and Akagera together over two days for $400 per person, seating up to 12 — small enough that the group is actually traveling together rather than spread across multiple vehicles, which matters for team-building trips and school groups where the point is the shared experience, not just the destination.

For a full overnight Big Five safari without gorilla trekking, our Budget Akagera package, NGO & Team Retreat Safari, International Organization Group Safari, and School Group Safari Tour are all built on the same core two-day, one-night Akagera itinerary at $1,000 per person — the difference between them is framing and scheduling flexibility rather than the itinerary itself. The school-specific version adds a ranger-led conservation talk on Akagera's Big Five reintroduction story, which we've found works well as an educational anchor for student groups rather than just a wildlife viewing day.

For groups organizing through an institution — a school, NGO, embassy, or company — invoicing and group coordination usually matters as much as the itinerary itself. We handle group bookings through a single point of contact, consolidated invoicing where needed, and flexible weekday or weekend scheduling to work around school terms or office schedules, rather than treating a 20-person group booking the same way as an individual traveler.

If your group doesn't fit neatly into any of these listed packages — a group of 8, a 3-day trip instead of 2, a mix of gorilla trekking for some and Akagera-only for others — tell us the actual group size, budget, and dates rather than trying to force-fit an existing package. Message us on WhatsApp or request a free quote, and we'll build the itinerary around your group instead of the other way around.
